Q&A with Zach Levine, Integrated Solutions Technical Lead

Q: What excites you the most about working at a company like Apex?
I love having the freedom to make and own significant engineering decisions. If I want to use a bleeding edge software tool, and my team thinks it makes sense, we can use that tool. No red tape. It unlocks the creative side of engineering!
Q: Why are you excited about space?
It’s just extremely satisfying to work on something, to physically touch something, that maybe 3 months later will be orbiting the earth at 17,00 mph.
Q: You are somewhat new here at Apex. What has surprised you the most so far?
I’ve been most surprised (and impressed) by just how small and capable the team that launched Aries-1 was. It’s crazy that a team of ~20 people accomplished that. It’s a great foundation to build a company on, and lot to live up to.
Q: Tell us a bit about what you do in your free time.
In my free time I like to brew Kombucha. This year I’m trying to grow my own mint to flavor it. Should be exciting! Maybe one day you’ll see my Kombucha in Whole Foods… or even Costco. A man can dream.
