Q&A with Ryan Truong, Avionics Engineer

Q: What excites you the most about working at a company like Apex?
At Apex, we have a strong, supportive culture—everyone’s friendly, always willing to help, and we even get free lunch. There are many new things about space to learn —everything from the challenges of radiation and zero gravity to the extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
Q: Why are you excited about space?
When I was a kid, I loved watching space movies. There’s still so much we don’t know about space—much more than we do about Earth. We don’t even know where space ends.
Q: You are somewhat new here at Apex. What has surprised you the most so far?
Space presents many challenges—radiation, high costs, weight limitations, and more. We're developing low-cost satellites to make space more accessible and affordable for our customers. Compared to traditional space satellites, our solution is up to 100 times more cost-effective.
Q: Tell us a bit about what you do in your free time.
In my free time, I enjoy reading books and going for runs to stay active.
