Q&A with Frank Chuang, GNC Engineer

Written by:

Q: What excites you the most about working at a company like Apex?

It's very important to me to work at a company that ships real products, and Apex certainly delivers. To be able to work on products that transport cutting edge technology into space is doubly exciting. Additionally, I love the variety of talent at Apex and the energy and drive that I sense from my colleagues.

Q: Why are you excited about space?

I think the sheer vastness of space inspires a sense of awe and respect. It is also the place we look to to solve the mysteries of our existence. As an engineer, space offers a place to work on advanced technologies that have far reaching societal impact.

Q: You are somewhat new here at Apex. What has surprised you the most so far?

I'm pleasantly surprised by the effort people here put into community building and activities. Admittedly I'm not a very sociable person, but I really appreciate that everyone here does their best to make newcomers feel welcome.

Q: Tell us a bit about what you do in your free time.

We recently welcomed a baby girl into our family so all the free time we have we're spending with her! In the past my partner and I enjoyed snorkeling and diving to explore California's incredible marine biodiversity.
