Learn more about Alyssa below:

Q: What excites you the most about working at a company like Apex?

Working at a company like Apex is exciting because I can help contribute to the culture of innovation and learning. This is an environment where learning and developing technical skills are key to building a strong team and providing a standard for quality.

Q: How do you see the role of Quality Inspector at Apex, and how is it supporting the mass-manufacturing of Apex’s satellite platforms?

I see the role of Quality Inspector as a key support function to Apex’s overall production process. Maintaining consistency and reliability as manufacturing scales will help ensure our processes are at the highest standards possible during every build. While we are in our early stages, quality plays an important part in validation, documentation, and continuous improvement to guarantee mission readiness.

Q: Why are you excited about space?

I was excited to work in the space industry because it is a field that demands high standards, and I was eager to be part of it. Being in a field where groundbreaking projects are constantly pushing the boundaries of engineering is what keeps me motivated.

Q: What’s something you learned in your most recent role that you’re bringing to Apex?

I learned how critical it is to follow procedures/standards and to document every step in a highly regulated environment. This helps me bring attention to detail, communication, and accountability to Apex’s production processes.

Q: What has surprised or impressed you the most so far during your time at Apex?

I am impressed by the dedication of each individual to the success of Apex. It’s always impressive to see the teamwork here, whether it’s covering for each other, cross-training, or collaborating on new process development.

Q: Tell us a bit about what you do in your free time.

I like to keep up my certifications and learn new subjects to continue growing in my quality role.

If I'm not in some sort of class, I like to be outdoors. I like running and hiking all around SoCal, and I always bring my little Pomeranian if I can!
